Taverna Petros is an authentic tavern, one of those that someone will definitely recommend when you ask them where to eat!
Authentic, humane, warm, family, with homemade food and good prices. Here you will find classic Greek cuisine, with stews and generous portions. If you get the steak, you will understand exactly what we mean.. Among the proposed dishes we singled out the sweet and sour chicken with rice, the chicken ala creme, and the bekri meze. Of course, don’t miss the grilled meats, such as the huge steaks we mentioned before, either beef or pork, which come from a choice piece of meat, but also the fresh fish, whether small or large, grilled in an excellent way.
The owner, Sofia, is especially warm and welcoming with a smile on her face and will treat you with lots of love! Petros, from where the tavern got its name, was her husband, who unfortunately left us a few years ago.
Petros beach
The tavern is located just one street next to the sea, so you can enjoy an unlimited view of the blue. Just below there is also a small, beautiful organized beach of Petros, this one too, with sunbeds and umbrellas. There you can relax and enjoy your bath. The good thing is that you can order coffee, snacks and food all day while enjoying your sunbathing and thus, you can combine your meal with swimming in the sea.
At Petros Tavern, you can now start your day with a hearty breakfast – coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, egg-based dishes, yogurt, toast, and sandwiches are served daily, either at the table or packed to take to the beach right across the street. From midday onwards, the kitchen keeps going strong, and until midnight, you can unwind with a refreshing drink or cocktail. And of course, to finish off, there’s a sweet treat waiting for you: orange pie, chocolate soufflé, or traditional baklava. If you’re planning a private event, the tavern is the perfect choice – simple, warm, and thoughtfully cared for, just as it should be.
